The 2025 Ludington Area Shop With a Cop/Hero Pie Auction is a heartwarming community fundraiser supporting the annual Shop With a Cop/Hero program in Mason County, Michigan. The shopping  event brings together local first responders and children from families in need, offering a unique opportunity to shop together for Christmas gifts and holiday meals.

Each year, law enforcement agencies across Mason County—led by the City of Ludington Police Department—partner with school officials to identify children and families who would benefit most. Officers and first responders then accompany these children on a special shopping trip, helping to ensure their holidays are filled with joy, dignity, and hope.

The funds raised through the Pie Auction go directly toward purchasing Christmas gifts and meals for approximately 100 local families. For our first responders, this event is more than a tradition—it’s a meaningful way to connect with the community they serve and protect every day.

Starting in 2025, Friends of Ludington Police, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to serve as the fiduciary organization for this program. As such, all donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting the Shop With a Cop/Hero program.
