The Friends of Ludington Police is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the services provided by the Ludington Police Department. Our mission is to assist Ludington Police Officers in fostering community safety and well-being through targeted support for key programs, including the K9 Unit, advanced police officer training, and community policing initiatives. These efforts are made possible through fundraising and outreach and are endorsed by the City of Ludington Police Department (LPD).

As an all-volunteer organization, we are committed to building a stronger relationship between the LPD and the community it serves. We place a particular emphasis on youth and community engagement. All donations to Friends of Ludington Police directly contribute to the following initiatives:

    • Community Policing Programs
    • Police Officer Training
    • K9 Unit Support
    • General Support – Critical Areas of Need
We collaborate closely with the Chief of Police and LPD staff to direct funding toward critical, time-sensitive projects and programs. Our Board of Directors, composed of dedicated local residents and business leaders, lead fundraising efforts to meet these needs and ensure the continued success of our initiatives.

All donations to the Friends of Ludington Police are tax-deductible and have a lasting impact on our community’s safety, trust and well-being. Financial support helps us ensure that the LPD has the resources necessary to serve and protect the people of Ludington for years to come.
